Laskaris buys Star motels, buffet on Strip

This article is very interesting and explains how Mount Olympus grew from a little hamburger stand.

The owner now has one mile of frontage along the strip.

He just purchased the Star hotels and buffet and the building that housed the buffets will now be the check in building for all his housing and for Bluegreen.

He is a relatively young man and a very good businessman.

Very interesting, Pat. Thank you for posting this. Do Bluegreen guests staying at Mt Olympus get a discount to the waterpark? What if they are staying at CMV?

I wonder how BG got this connection in with the Mt. Olympus group. Good connection as I see it. Probably both ways. Good advertising for them as well--to bring customers into them instead of other places from CMV.

Nick Laskaris sold Bluegreen 14 acres which he purchased from the Matai family at the back of the property and I think an older motel building. He gives deals to most of the small motels. That is about the only way those small motels can attract customers under the age of 60. I think they pay something like $56,000 a year to be able to give their renters free passes to Mt Olympus. I am sure that Bluegreen does the same thing. If you are staying at CMV, you can get a discount, but I didn't hear of any free passes this year. Free passes to the water park part are common, with an upgrade to use whole park, and of course ten or fifteen dollars to park and similar to use a locker while there. He knows how to make money, big time as do many of the other Dells business men. Bluegreen was offered to buy into the Wilderness, but didn't do it and Wyndham Glacier Canyon is the result.

Laskaris bought the Raintree Hotel behind Pizza Pub and is close to buying the american World and riverwalk Motels also.
Mount Olympus had a fabulous year last year!
