Grandma Honey's is gone

drove into the Dells along h yesterday and something looked different. all the buildings, including the one that housed Grandma honey's , are gone. the area is cleared except for the small building by the interstate until the entrance for Trappers Turn. i wonder if something is going in there.
also The Ppoloneyesian is under foreclosure, being run by the bank.

grandma died a few years back, her kids ran a fairly busy business. it closed this winter, but now the building is gone, as well as several other structures on that side of the road.
The land is owned by one of the "tycoons" in the area, or his father. The Dells brings in about 3 billion a year in tourist business and most of the businesses are owned by about 8 familes. Everyone else works for minimum wage and gets laid off during the off season.
Those that go to Christmas Mountain know what I am referring to, as you have to pass it to go to the Dells. I spent many an hour waiting for my breakfast at Grandma honey's.

But scary ..... three big motels in foreclosure, Wendy's closed, and also Longley's in reedsburg is closed too, had to have been there att least 25 years.

I don't remember the name, but i remember a series of restaurants that never made it there. i had been looking forward to breakfast there, and i was too late.

also, the hiding place for the police car is gone too a drop from 55 to 35 mph must yield some tickets.

So what do you think they are going to do with the land?

That's amazing that 8 families control the Dells.
I haven't been yet but I guess I need to get up there and see what it's all about before it's all gone.
