  • Help with CMV transfer which finally closed!

Ok, so I am totally out on a limb here!

I finally got confirmation of my ownership, and registered for my online account. Other than sending $250 to transfer I don't recall having to sign any paperwork, and have made no additional payments. So I was expecting to have to pay the MF's for the 2012/2013 before it closed but this was apparently was not required.

The challange is that it says the past due amount is $1,916.12? That is not the MF's I was lead to believe, so I how do I get this corrected? I was under the guise that MF's were ~$1000 annually, so this is almost double. Should I talk to Laurie listed on my letter, Kris Koski who seems to have facilitated the majority of the transfer, or should I call customer service?

Obviously eager to start making reservations as 1/2 the year is now over. However I am not paying a dime until this is rectified which I expect will still prevent me from making reservations. Have no issues with the CA but it looks like I am getting billed 2 years of MF's.

    BTW this is a copy of my statement of account;

    CT500/06 Past Due Charges > 30 Days $1,916.12 IMMEDIATELY
    CT500/06 11/02/2012 Assessment $1,031.00 1/20/2013
    CT500/06 11/02/2012 Assessment $1,031.00 1/20/2014
    CT500/06 11/02/2012 Assessment $1,031.00 1/20/2015

It looks like they are charging you this years MFs plus the first year of the special assessment.
    Did theye prorate the MFs?
I know they did not prorate with me but I made up for it by booking right away.
I "bought" in July but did not close until October.
I lost a few months but still managed to book about 10 weeks with what was left of the year before my second MF bill came due.

I think they are charging two years of maintenance fees and then she needs to pay the first installment in January

My quandry is that I did not agree to pay 2 years MF's. The special assessment fee's are definately separated because the first one shows not due till January 2013. If I go back to my emails, I don't think I started the whole process until July, so that means they are trying to charge me the MF's of the person who had it before me. I'd prefer to get this dealt with as soon as possible, so not sure if I should go back to Sheri, or Kris. They are likely the ones who can hopefully rectify this.

If you took the ones from the hoa, you shouldn't have to pay two years. if you bought off a delinquent owner, they are going to try to charge you but should have before the closing.

This was one of the ones the HOA was giving away and I had originally contacted Sheri about it. I'll contact Kris when I get home and see what's up. I don't want to bother Sheri if I don't have to.

It is a special type of UDI ownership so its actually a floating type unit.

i think this is quite common with the ones obtained from the HOA. The old past due amounts are still on it and they need to clear them up. This happened with the ones that I obtained from them and it took a few weeks to get cleared up from the account. However, I was still able to make reservations. They just had to check the notes on the account. I think maybe the first time I had to wait a bit on the phone while they checked into it and then the rest of the time, I would have a small hold while they read over the notes.

I dealt with the two people that you mentioned and they were both very helpful.

                  Congratulations on your new ownership!

A "Pure" IDI can be the equal to about 80,000 to 100,000 or more yearly BG points to be used at CMV and not at the other BG resorts.

But unlike BG points you can use those UDI reservations with almost any outside exchange company YOU CHOOSE for exchanges.

I know this may sound like an odd question, but if you have one of these and it is not one of the "blended" is it possible to get points in lieu of weeks reservations for a year? I could use an extra 80,000 BG points this year!

I assume though that what you are referring to, is if you get 10 reservations that would normally be 8,000 each that is where you come up with that number.

No. To add those BG points of mostly 9,000 BG Point packages the owners years ago paid about $4,000 to $6,000 depending how much the greedy BG sales people could squeeze the buyers for. Bruce

Thanks Bruce, I didn't really think it would any way without some sort of additional cost but thought I'd ask. You know, a kind of grasping at straws.

The blended UDI owners only pay for the yearly BG Club Dues and in most cases a $65 houskeeping fees for the use of those yearly BG points but do not pay a extra yearly maintenace fee for those points in addittion to their regular UDI yearly maintenace fees.

                            Bruce

On a Pure Timbers UDI we can get 10 yearly reservations for under $1,800. when totaling up the yearly maintenace fees and ten $65 housekeeping fees or less than $180 per reservation that can be up to 7 nights long. Bruce
