Curious to see what Chriskre has to say.....because her deposit went into a different account not her mandatory Wyndham one she uses.
I have since done another deposit and they put it in the BG account again. Uggggh.
I am just going to let them keep depositing to the BG account and when I need to transfer to the Wyndham account I will.
It's nice to keep this open for those pesky 1 in 4's.

So since I can see this is going to be a source of frustration I will just let them do what they are going to do anyway.
I did finally set up the online access with the free RCI points/weeks account and that is where it's going.
I can now see the deposits in there which is fine.

They ended up linking my BG CMV ownership to my RCI points account which I guess is fine.
They even assigned me a 1115 membership number which is the resort ID for CMV.
So rather than make myself crazy with this I'll just do what I have to do when I need it moved.
At least the BG and Wyndham desks are much more helpful and knowledgeable than the regular RCI points guides.
Apparently you have to be versed in all the systems before you get assigned to the developer accounts which is a plus for us developer owners.

Some battles are just not worth fighting and I don't think I'll get anywhere with the BG exchange department since
they won't even let me speak to anyone in that department anywhere. Apparently they are top secret agents.

Is that an RCI account that BG pays for via your yearly UDI MFs? The RCI account they opened when they deposited mine was still awaiting payment for the year. I'd be OK just letting them go into an account I'm already paying for, but I see no reason to open and pay out of pocket for an additional one.

no, you don't get an account with a UDI membership

No this is the free weeks account I get with my paid RCI points account.
All they did was link that account.
I already had it but it was dormant as I'd never used it.
Apparently there is a 9000 account that is invisible with RCI points.
That one has no online access.

This one I had never set up because I never had the need, but since BG and RCI insist on
putting the CMV deposits there then I finally went ahead and set it up so I can see what
they are doing with my deposits.

I imagine some employee at RCI saw the first account with my name on it on the list
since my RCI points account is my oldest account and just gave that info to BG and
now I'm set up like that like it or not.

I don't own BG points. You only get the "free" weeks account when you own points.
You get nothing free with the CMV UDI except reservation fees.
You do get a free weeks account with a paid RCI points account which I've had forever.

          • Well I think that settles it. No UDI Freebies.
Just lots of separate RCI accounts for everyone.

            • I do see a link now in my Wyndham provided RCI account to deposit my CMV weeks, so maybe they have it linked correctly now. I guess I'll find out when I try my next deposit....

              • Quick question regarding reservations - I'm going up this weekend to CMV. Do I have to wait until I actually check in before I can call BG and make my next reservation, or can I do it any time on the check-in day?

Not necessarily a bad thing if you remember you have them.

                      • So I gave a unit to TPI and of course it's not showing as deposited with them.
Yet another phone call I got to make to BG and see where the heck they sent my week.

It wouldn't be bad if you could just contact the exchange department directly, instead of them being secret agents.

Well yeah, no it wouldn't be bad but BG doesn't want us to know their number.
                            I tried.

I had a gentleman from the exchange department call me to ask a question when I did my first deposit to II last month. I wonder if his number is still in the caller ID log on my phone....

I'd be happy with even an email address.
I much prefer emailing anyway so there is a paper trail of what has been said.
