Those that have visited Mt. Olympus in the Wisconsin Dells know how huge it is. Everything I have read and heard locally says this is owned by one family. They started with a hot dog stand in the dells. He adds on to the park every year. It is about one mile long. He also buys up small motels on land contracts and has one thousand rooms. All the people who stay at one of his places get free admittance, free food and soft drinks, an extra three hours of park time, and exclusive use of part of the water and theme park. He has no problem filling rather run down motels.
You can buy admittance for only $3 online, but you pay $25 to park. You practically get frisked going in to make sure you don't have any snacks, there is a table with confiscated goodies and I bet those workers have a party every night. There is a pretty high fee to rent lockers also.
This is the guy whose 18000 square foot house with eleven car garage caught fire last year. He has also survived brain cancer that was supposedly fatal.
Bluegreen odyssey resort is on the grounds, but they don't have the privileges of resort guests.
