When I sign in, it does not seem to remember me, even though I ask it to. However, if I click on Search, it knows my user id and then when I go to other screens, my user id appears. I am using IE8.

Is this a problem you started having during the past 24 hours since the last upgrade or is this a problem you had before then? If it was a previous issue, are you sure you are still having this issue?
Now, the site remembers users in two ways. First the site uses what is called sessions so that a user's identity is passed from Page to page to keep the person logged in. The issue with sessions is these can be lost for a lot of reasons and this site does have a lot of extra stuff running that can cause some session conflicts.
The second way the site knows who a person is is via a browser cookie. Vthe cookie does not drop like a session but some people may have their security settings set too high such that their computer does not allow a cookie to be saved. In that case you stay connected via sessions and they can be a bugger with complicated websites and ours is a bit more complex then average.
So, I would like to know if it is a new issue and if not then it may be a security setting on your computer that is blocking cookies. Hope that helps some and explains just how the site knows who people are as you log in and use it.

No, this is not in the last 24 hours. It has been a few days. May be an update with IE. I get around it by clicking Search then it recognizes me. Any idea why that page would remember me (I do not sign in) but not the home page? I am definitely still having the issue, but it is not a big deal. Just thought you should know. No problem on TUG.

I keep getting logged out.....3 times already, this morning. The last time, I was even logged out of II. Don't know how, but I was logged out of both screens at the same time.
PS...It seems to be happening when I click "back."Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
