Classifieds is active on the site (PLEASE READ!)

OK, I had to manually move the classififieds over and some of the userids got jumbled by my script. Most of the information is fine but it is getting late and I really need some sleep.

So, if someone has some time, can you help me find any classifieds that have the wrong name associated with the ad?

Sellers, if your ad is messed up, please post as well and I will fix the ads as soon as I can... this took way too much time but the data is here (even if the seller info got a little messed up in some cases.

I get this error message:

I didn't do that banned message...

I took hald a days vacation (yea some vacation) but I have managed to get all the data fixed in the classifieds. To allow me to import this I without it taking MUCH longer I deleted all COMMENTS and feedback.

I would still encourage sellers to check your auctions to make sure that the system says it was listed by you! If any problems are found, please post but I just spent another 4-hours this morning hand updating each of the userids in each ad inside the database itself...

So anyways, everybody should be able to see and use the classifieds again.

A few notes:

The comments system is turned off until I can develope private "make offer" system like we had a couple months back.

The layout will change but there are still some bugs/features the developer is "supposed" to be working on

I will be moving over everybodies points from the old database as soon as I can but that is some complicated programing and I don't want to make an OOPS so I started with the "easy" stuff first.

OK, I discovered the comments system is still ON even though I tried to trun off the lights on it...

Please do not use the comments system as I will be reworking that part of the code and when I do I will likely need to delete anything that people enter in there...

OK, I got a message from a ember asking about a PM they got last night...

Last night at about 11:59PM the server did what it was supposed to do and closed any ads that expired. Well, because I had a problem transfering the Userids to the new system the wrong people got notices that the ads got closed.

I do not have a way to find these...

So, if you have ads in teh Classifieds, you may want to check of your ad is still open. Everybody has 3-credits to use to list, relist, or feature ads. Also, the TS4MS points system is working to allow members to purchase more credits.

I know that most of the points are trapped over at the old site and I will be working on this ASAP.

Another fix in classifieds... I have added "POINTS" under the week option. If a person is selling points only and they select this option it will be easier for other members to find your ad!

Also, I see there is an issue with the search...

the problem looks to be that the valuses in the database got changed in some way during the transfer so as far as the database is cncerened "Prnnsylvania" as it is listed in many ads is not "Pennsylvania" when you search. If people with classifieds will just open their ad and click the "edit" button and then simply save their classified again the database should update and your ads should be found during searches.

Also, searches will ONLY bring up open ads. So, if your ad is closed you might want to relist it and at this point I wuld relist by starting a new ad so we can make sure the system is working.

Can't open new classified

I just tried to submit a new ad and I got a message saying that I can't list an ad for more than 0 days, and told me I needed to upgrade my membership. Should new ads work?

OK, it is working now...

It is a known bug that the developer of the classifieds has chosen to ignore... I had just updated the site to the newest version that fixes most bugs but I didn't realize that the developer has still not fixed this in his product... I have a very poor oppinion of this guy anymore!

Oh well, I don't need him anymore... It is fixed on our site now...
