  • Buddy List

I was trying to add someone to my buddy list but it didn't work. I tried twice so wonder if this is a problem?

I will have to look at it... it works for me so it must be a permissions setting.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Ken, I tried again. I see the window where you ad or remove the buddy but when I click on it, it doesn't link.

Are you using a funky Mac still?

Can a few more people test this?

See if you can add some buddies here:

Post a Yea or No as far as if it works... if not, I would like to know what browser you use too...

No, I am using my DH's computer because he has that super duper large screen. My Mac is on it's last legs so I am going to get a little Mac notebook now so will always borrow this computer as it is kind to the old eyes.

I use Internet Explorer version 6.0.1900 plus more numbers yet.

I will try the Mac later today but hope to complete the backing up first before it dies for good. It gets stuck and then I turn it off for a while and turn it on again until it hangs up again.

That is strange then... can another Moderator try...?

I don't see anything in the settings that look wrong so I would blame it on the computer or the monkey working the keys... But we all know you are no monkey

Ha ha. My DH came home so I gave him the honor to try it. It doesn't work from here. I went to another link and tried it and it worked. I also right clicked the "dead" link and nothing is highlighted and with the other link it is.

Now, I am going to turn on my Toshiba notebook and try it there. See you over there.

I am confused... what links are you clicking?

                    Did you try it here:

No, I didn't do it there. I was under someone's profile and did it from there. I have always done it that way. Is that the problem?

I am now at the Mac as it was much faster starting up than the PC.

Have to wait buying another one of these "Apples" after I read this:

Apple receives delisting letter from Nasdaq!

Well, then some people may have blocked you...

Now, in all seriousness, perhaps the members you were trying to add are on the "Hide my online status list" and that is what the buddy list does - shows when a person is online...

                        Just a guess...

Ken, it is not that important and I may have been blocked by some people but I tried two people just now, you and keitht and it didn't work on the Mac or this notebook either. I used to have a long buddy list here but it is gone.

I checked quickly with TUG and the list is there and it still works for me adding on buddies the way I used to do it. They use vBulletin Version 3.5.4. If I click on the link here at TS4MS, it is dead.

Strange but you have more important things to do.

                            Emmy,

try me on your buddy list (you can remove it later). I input your name on my buddy list and it stuck.

Mike, you are my lucky charm because you are on my list and you are staying.

Ken, did you change something? It is working fine now from my Mac. OK, now I have had my quota of posts today and I am going to sleep again.
