Obviously I started working on the right side navigation - feedback wanted

I started setting up the code that will allow me to add content to the right side of many of our pages. What I really want to know is what kinds of things would you all like to see on the right?

I need to include the Google Adsense ads as these ads pay for the site. Frank and I have been spending 100% of the site donations to pay for software upgrades and additions (hiring programers is expensive) and we have been relying on the google and ebay advertisements to pay for our day to day expenses (pays for hosting, chat server, domain registrations, etc).

So, the google ads need to stay to the right and I plan to move the classifieds to a bar accross the top like we had at the old site. Beyond that, I would like some ideas of what everybody liked before... I want to make the bar on the right simpler then what we had last go round but not at the risk of removing something that members want.

I will likely not be able to get this all finished before we leave on vacation... I am supposed to be packing now... but this will give everybody some time to think and discuss it..

I liked eBay auctions because it was handy and fun to watch but I have never participated yet.

Go and have a wonderful vacation and take a break from doing all this. I am really surprised that bigfrank hasn't missed us or the forum. He must be having too much fun.

The list with ebay etc.

Private messages is at the top already so is not needed on the right hand side of the page.

Actually, the "welcome" or "log-in" with PM info on the top will go away... This time when I am done getting things up I will be paying to have a custom style created for the site and we will make us look as good as the people here...

I like the log-in and pm info at the top right...very convenient.

I have been mostly unaware of the stuff on the right-side of the screen. I use 800x600 resolution on my monitor, and would have to scroll to the right to see it. So, I think I will abstain in this debate, except to say I'd rather have to scroll to see those links, than have them use some of the space on the main part of my screen.
