  • Update on the ebay pages...

Well, I am trying to get everything back and I have a couple of the ebay pages done...

    http://www.timeshareforums.com/index...hares-for-rent

    http://www.timeshareforums.com/index...r-sale-on-ebay

I am working on the points page now... Later I will make pages with a simple name and add hyperlinks to them but this is just a little complicated so I am starting it KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)

    EDIT 1:

Here is a Page for RCI POINTS:

OK, these were the pages I had coded for the old forum...

Now, I can program scripts that will search for just about anything on ebay... So far we have these three covered:

    1. Timeshares For Sale (ending first)
    2. Timeshares For Rent (ending first)
    3. RCI Points for Sale (ending first)

Now, I can add any others that people would like to keep track of... Should I program any or all of the following? What else?
    • Bluegreen resorts
    • Mariott Resorts
    • Fairfield Points
    • SFX timeshares (if a person puts it in their listing, you would see it)

What should I add? I am going to hold off programing a navigation link to these pages until I get an idea how many are wanted so I can set up an attractive way to display them all...

What am I missing and are some of these really not needed?

All of them but can't we find the rest just as easy on eBay or is there an advantage to do it from here like more traffic?
      • Bluegreen resorts
      • Mariott Resorts
      • Fairfield Points
      • SFX timeshares (if a person puts it in their listing, you would see it)

Well, Frank and I get paid for sucessful bidders that bid after clicking through the pages. On average, we have been getting about $10/month for the ebay pages. This does not sound like a lot but add the money we get from the clicks through the google ads it pays for the website (hosting, domains, chat, etc).

There is not a lot left over at this point but with more members and use comes more clicks and as we get more money. That would be good as the more use we get the bigger the server we need and the more our monthly costs go up...

There are other advantages for the site as it is an easy way for me to add timeshare rich content to these pages which helps us get listed in the various search engines.

So, they pay for some of our costs and they make the site look better to the all knowing google...

I would add: Westin, and Sheraton.

          Also...Sunterra.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

OK, I have managed to get the three original pages on the site where I want them and they are looking pretty good, even if I do say so myself! Here is how they look now:

            http://www.timeshareforums.com/index.php3?page=ebay

I will work on programing the other pages when I get some time but I need to get some other stuff done or my wife might just

I have added a link on the Navbar for this page but our navbar is getting pretty darned busy! I will be reworking this soon as well but thare are just not enough hours in the day...

              • Sheraton
              • Sunterra

OK, I have added all the resorts suggested so far and you can do the searces here:

                http://www.timeshareforums.com/index.php3?page=ebay

If there is nothing listed, you will get a search box (like you get for SFX at the moment)....

Please report any problems as that is a fairly complicated series of pages and while it works for me some browsers may not like that... I expect Firefox users may have space issues and I really don't know if I can do a whole lot about it...

                Enjoy!
