  • Anyone Else Having Problems With TS4Ms?

It takes a long time to load.

Today it has not wanted to close. Everything else closes fine, but TS4Ms will not. I've had to shut the computer down manually and restart.

Jim I moved your post here. I had a problem to day on every site. I lost my wireless for 30 Min. I still have no idea why I lost it.

    Maybe your computer was overheating.

No problems here until you mentioned it- it was warm here today. I've got beer on ice now in the chat room.

I'm still having problems. Posts will not submit and I eventually get a lost server message.

        Everywhere else is working fine.

          Yet that posted. Go figure.

Can there be a problem on one thread, or board, but not others?

I've been onto the site a number of times today without problem. Maybe the powers are trying to tell you something

Some trouble here. Trying to leave the sie IE6 quits responding. If I leave a TS4M page open while my dial up connection is shut down I can't shut down the computer. If I close the page that's been open I get a message that the browser must be closed and then it reports to MSoft. Weird

                Seems to be working

I've also logged in and out a couple times today with relatively no problems

Every once in a while I have problems like you describe, but when I close and restart they seem to go away. I tend to believe it's me and not TS4Ms.

It is NOT anything like the on going problems on TUG. What a pain!!

Yeah, stuff like that. I first I figured it was just my old POC, oops, PC. Then I noticed it is only TS4Ms. It still takes a long time for pages to load.

If I try to close my browser from TS4Ms, sometimes it will not let me. I eventually have to shutdown manually and reboot.

But most of the time it is OK, just slower than other sites. TS4Ms now has a lot of pictures and I'm thinking I have the problems when I try to leave before all the pictures have downloaded.

When the site is finished I will work on making other options for how people see the site... for example I can remove the photos and soe of teh stuff on the right, top, and bottom....

I just can't do it now while I am trying to build the site as it is just too many pages to continually update..

This will be most helpful to those on slower dial-up...

I'm not bitchin QB. Just wanted to see if there is something I can do differently.

I sense that the site is more than my PC can handle, and that perhaps I have the problem when I want to do something, like leave, when the site is not finished whatever it is doing.

In the latest it seems to not want to accept a large reply, but it will accept smaller ones. Perhaps that is just an automatic JLB setting, trying to tell me something.

The new points system does count how many characters are in your post but that is done at a server level and not at you local computer... There will be lite versions of this website in the future but I just need to get the main site done for the majority before I can work on the lite version!

You might try viewing the site from inside the archive and see if that works better:
