I made some changes to the main forum display page as seen here:
http://www.timeshareforums.com/index.php
This change is necessary due to additional forums that are going to be needed for the new reviews database that I am planning to start coding in the very near future. The reviews database will be tied into the resorts database and the new resorts database is really getting close to done:
http://www.timeshareforums.com/resortsdatabase.php
If you browse the resorts database you will discover that the resorts are organized according to four levels. Region (Say North America as an example), Country (Say United States), Area (Say Florida), Subarea (Say Orlando).
The new reviews database will be directly tied to the resorts database and when a new review is added to the upcoming database there will be a new post placed in a relevant forum that corresponds to that resort that the review is about. Well, there are some resorts that just don't have a good place where those reviews would go so we need to make some changes and most of the changes will mean new forums.
We know that many people think we have (or had) too many forums on the main form page. This is an attempts to simplify that main form list while still allowing it to exist for members that like to use that view to quickly navigate to a forum that they wish to browse.
Please provide any feedback on this new layout as we have no choice but to expand our forums to better serve the site as we continue to grow so we need to find ways that will make it easier for everybody to find their way around the site.
