Subscribing to Threads

It seems like I am automatically subscribed to any thread that I post in. Is there a way to change my default so that it doesn't do that?

I get email notification when there are replies to any thread I have posted in, but I am online enough that I usually get the email after I've already seen the new post.

Yes, there is. Under "Quick Links" above, choose "Edit Options". Then on that page, look for the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" section. It will give you an option to not automatically subscribe, subscribe but don't send email, and other notification options.
