Settings Question

I know this will be simple, but I can't find where to do it.

I want to set it so that when I open a thread it shows the last post. It now shows the first one.

Jim,
Go in to your user profile,
Under Edit Options, Thread Display Options, Thrad Display Mode ,
Choose either "Linear Oldest First" or "Linear Newest First"

I knew that was somewhere and thought I had set it once. Maybe that was somewhere else.

It was set on oldest first.

PS: Now it's looks strange, reading from bottom up! Actually, that's not what I had in mind. What I wanted was for it to read from oldest to newest (down), but to show the last page, or the last post, in a thread when I open it.

How do I do that?

On the list of messages, beside the name of the person posting last is a little square with an > in it (on my display it is blue square and white arrow). Clicking on that will take you to the last post on the thread.

Yup, I see that.

I tried all the options and what I really like is what I already had, oldest first.

What I wanted was to be able to click on the last page, to start there, but I swear that was not showing on the main page of each forum. Now it is.
