What going on with the Forum List?

For the last week or so, the page displaying the list of all forums is different than the way it's been. Instead of getting a list of forums and the most recent thread, I'm getting just a list of the names of all the forums.

What happened?

I mentioned this to Ken last week. It is hard to see as the font is small. It saves space so that was the main reason to change it to that. You can scroll right to the bottom right away. Before it took longer since there are so many forums. There might be a chance he changes it back. After we delete the old classifieds forums at the end of the month, that might give us more room to play with.

I changed it....

Members need to use the bars accross the top or the Home link.... This was needed to compress that page for the future... There is little chance i is going back but I am not done either...

I take it back. It isn't fine.

About a month ago we discussed the many different way you could view the posts in this site.

To summarize
"HOME" will show today’s posts in order but not show exchange opportunities
"TODAYS POSTS" will show today’s posts in order and will show exchange opportunities.
"FORUMS List" will show the list of forums but not the most recent threads

It is the third option, which I'd like to see changed.

If the forums list could display this page instead that would be great.

The problem is that while you like it that way others complain there are too many forums and there is too much information on that page. The problem is that we are going to have MORE forums and not less so people need to start using the topic specific forums to browse.

There is just no way to make everybody happy. I hope that things will slow down at work soon and that I will be able to work on this more soon but I really don't see the site going back to the way it was. The forums list is going to just be a list of the forums but it is interesting that you managed to find the new parent forum that does give the old view of the way the forums list looked.

You're right as long as I can get to the view I like than I should be happy.
