Search only finds recent items

It seems to me that search and advanced search only find posts since the upgrade. Does everyone else have that problem?

Not with what I just tested, which had results back to 2006---but a thread about a year before the upgrade was missing from the results.

I was searching for a specific post in freebies that was made in November, 2011. If you search that forum using foxrun as a keyword the thread started on 11/30/11 is not found when I search. If you click on the op's name and view posts you only get a handful from 2006-2007. If you go to advanced search and search using the op's name you get one post from 2007.

I posted earlier about the search function being busted based on a couple of searches I did looking for things that I knew were there and not finding them.

I posted earlier about the search function being busted based on a couple of searches I did looking for things that I knew were there and not finding them.

If our search can't find them I wonder if the Internet search engines have the same problem.
