Taxation of Lottery tickets

Being conscious that I may never have noticed before, I just bought my first Lottery ticket on this "no win bias to owner or moderator" forum and happen to notice that my 100 point lottery purchase had a tax!

Have lottery ticket purchases always had a tax? I admit to being oblivious to many things including this.

I think I had turned off the taxes on as much as I could before.... I will try to kill them here too....

The taxes are a strange thing built into the system where they go into an account in the points system... These points just accumulate...

I understand that in the future there may be a banking system that would allow members to borrow from the bank and to allow the bank to give out "performace" bonuses.

I just have not really had the time to look into all the stuff this system can do...

So, should I allow the taxes or remove them? The points don't go to anybody... just a mystery account that I am not sure I even know where to look to see hw much is in there.
