A lot of reviews are in "Share Your Travel Memories with Shaggy" or in the individual area threads until we get a review section built.
So try here:

I am not sure, but you may be refering to the "OLD Resorts Database". This had a reviews portion built into it but the software was not originally written to be used like we were using it and it made it almost impossible for the data that was geuuting put in the resorts database there to be used for other items on the website.
So, what I have done was to create a NEW Resorts database which you can access from the NavBar. This contains the resorts data from the OLD resorts database but everything has been put into a completely new order and organization in a database that is easier for us to manipulate and use.
The Reviews in the old resorts database could not be extracted or moved to the new resorts database because of the huge and significant changes. With the fact that there was not going to be an easy was for us to ever pull those reviews and move them to a new system I had decided to turn that old reviews system off until we could get a new system running.
Well, as luck has it, I got the resorts database, classifieds, points system, and a few other tools working on the old forums but I was having spme compatability problems as the server we use did not work with some key aspects of the software that I needed to have work to automate some tasks. Several other people had the same problems and the developer of this forum software set out to create a new version that only works with the latest server tools and databases. When I saw an upgrade was comming and I knew that just about everything would need to get recoded to allow us to upgrade I took a month or so off from my programing habit.
Well, two weeks ago now the new version of the forums got released. I have been working every free hour I have to get as much back to the way it was and I still have quite a bit of work to do. Following are a list of my priorities with a brief status:
- Classifieds - Working but I want to do extensive template changes
- Chat Server - There is a new version comming out and I can not install until it is ready. We are using the old userdatabase and chat program for now.
- Photoserver: The photoserver software is not compatable with the upgraded forums. The developer is working on a new version with improvements that will be available soon (I hope it will be soon).
- Resorts Database: It is working on the site but I still need to program some pages to allow members to add new resorts and create a system that will allow users to make suggestions for changes to the data in there. new additions and changes will be a MODERATED activity so the programing to allow a member to make a suggestion and have the suggestion get stored until a member of the staff can approve the change which would then occur in the perminant database is some complicated programing that I just have not had the time to work on yet.
- Resorts Reviews: I do have some draft code started and this is a high prioity. The reviews system will be accessed in a few ways and places.
My problem is that this really is not simple programing work. I have hired out quite a bit of work in the past few months but even hiring skilled friends is expensive much less if I need to go out and hire a stranger. I have spent 100% of site contributions to buy the software that we can purchase or I have spent it to pay for books so I can learn to do it or to hire programers for the work I can not do myself.
This site has come a LONG way in the past year and a half since it was started and in a rough estimate I still think the site is about half done. There are several other significant additions that I have mentioned in the past that will get added as time allows. I am just getting tighter lipped about future plans as I have noticed some of the other sites out there have begun adopting some of our trends.
Soon, we will have the ultimate timeshare website...
For those that want to help, we have a contributor page here:
http://www.timeshareforums.com/index...ge=contributor
We spend 100% of site contributions (at least at this time and for the forseable future) on new software or programing. Frank and I have a lot of money invested in this project but it is really starting to come together thanks to the generous donations, great members that come here to post and be involved, and the awsome staff that do not receive any compensation for their countless hours they spend here!

THANKS for the update and all the hard work !
It was good to hear that the reviews section will be a part of the site again.
It was good just hearing that I hadn't imagined leaving reviews in the past !
Some of the reviews at that other place are getting quite dated and I look forward to a fresh start and hope that all will contribute.
If we record our thoughts now in a Word document, while they are fresh in our minds, will we be able to just save them ourselves and then paste them into your appropriate form when you're ready ?

I will get the database up as soon as I can but you know...
