trouble uploading photos

I finally started uploading some photos, but now am getting a message that the last three photos I tried uploading exceed my limitations. Is it that my pics are too large, or that I am limited to the number I am allowed to load? this is really not an area I am well versed in, so please accept my apologies in advance.

You have almost 7MB of files uploaded of an 8MB limit (for Moderators). If the image(s) you are trying to upload are larger then 1MB then you would get this error. Note, the system resizes images BUT it does so after it looks at the file size. So, perhaps you need to resize the image before you upload or perhaps you need to select a few photos you can remove out of your area on the photoserver?

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't been able to figure out an easy way to resize them in iPhoto and still copy them to the desktop and then to the Photoserver. I will see what I can do after consulting with Tech Support (DH).
