Are members getting a "Page Not Found Error" today?

I installed an advertisng script on the site and then integrated that script into our forums. Since I did that I have got a few "Page Not Found" errors and I am working to figure out what is causing this.

If you get one of these, can I get you to please post what you were trying to do?

Yes I am getting that since late last night. I had thought it was my wireless connection.

No "Page Not Found", but periodically when I select a site link (using Firefox), Firefox downloads a .php file (which file depends on the link I clicked - today it's downloaded "showthread.php", "search.php", and "newreply.php"), then begins rapidly opening numerous blank tabs.

This behavior has actually occurred periodically for about one week. Prior to today, the only workaround I noted was to just come back to the site later. Today, though, I've found that if I try the link again it usually behaves normally.

Yes......I have been getting it all day. I need to re-click the thread, the second click seems to work.

I believe the problem is that the script that shows these banners is just getting hit too hard and in the process the server is not able to run the program that pulls these ads.

I may need to evaluate another solution and remove this but I really hate to do that if I don't need to as the script I installed is a very powerful tool...

It seems to be getting worse. It also happens a lot when you are responding to a thread.
