I got it when I tried to go to the second page. Clicking 'Cancel' several times got rid of it and let me in.

OK, I figured it out... I was linking to images inside a password protected area of the site... you should see no more errors!

OK, image count issue is fixed and I tried to add a border...

My problem with this is that the scrolling photos have to be a fixed width and I don't want to build the page with a fixed width as if someone comes in with a monitor set at 800x600 they will need a monitor one way and me with my two monitors panning things and a 2800 x 1500 resolution I would really not be happy (1400x1500 per screen).

So, once I get the mechanics worked out I will revise the reviews template to make it look better and make it so it works with the fixed with images. Just the same, I've come a long way already as long as someone doesn't start screaming that this doesn't work for them!

Ken, I used the reply button under your post #14. I don't have the problem now replying at the last message.

Scrolling pictures is a very nice feature. Does this mean we will not have to click on a next button? Ken you are doing a wonderful job adding new features to the site.

Thanks... the scroling photos addresses an issue I have been fighting with as far as how do I show X-photos of a resort when I don't know what "x" is and still have the images look OK or not mess up the layout.

I spent quite a bit of time over the past week or more learning how to work with images and how to integrate these scripts and I am ready to move on again with the reviews... I can now handle the resizing, watermarking, renaming, saving, recalling, and displaying of the images.

The last issue I am fighting with has to do with where I want to store the images and what I should name them. The problem is everybody takes a photo of their resort pool and names it pool.jpg I will have problems so I need to come up with some code that will prevent that.

Then, I need to divide the photos to a degree as there is a limit to the number of files that can be stored in one directory and I expect we will have thousands of photos in here at some point.

I need to set up a sample review that will allow an upload with images so we can see how well the concept is working but the "small" pieces are starting to come together... I sure hope it will work as a whole when it is done.

                    Ken,
Very good looking children you have there.

I check used something else, because I got there with my AOL. I think I probably could have checked Internet Explorer, but I know that sometimes different things have problems through AOL, so I thought maybe that might make a difference.

Well, given the success here I needed to move on to the next step f my understanding and confirm I could use this on values I pull from the database. Well, I never really liked how the classifieds sometimes change the width of the windows so this was a logical place for me to work with this code more...

So, this code is now integrated and working with our classifieds! You can see an exaple of this working here:

                      http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...p?do=ad&id=220

Note the issues with very small images and there would be an issue with huge images as well. For that reason, I have modified the classifieds script so that the maximum image size that can be uploaded is now 800-wide x 600-high. There was no limit before and there are a few images in the system that are just huge....

Here is an example in the classifieds:

                      http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum.../php6V66rK.jpg

If someone can find that ad, I would like to get the seller to remove that and replace it with a more appropriate size.

                      EDIT - I found it...

                      http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...hp?do=ad&id=87

Note how slow that loads with that huge image... I believe the slideshow effect is not working because the image is just too big as well... I will PM shopgirl to see if she minds if I delete this ad!

                          Image tool

Silly me, but I don't know what the image tool is so I don't know if it is working or not....

This topic is now over 3 years old. I don't think the photo server is even working now as a result of our last site problem.
