The "number of new posts" has been missing for me for longer than just yesterday. Don't know exactly how long. As I mentioned, I just thought it was a change in the way the page looked and worked.

I know what you are refering to and I need to look at the code. I have not made any changes hre in the past week so if this just stopped working I am concerned as it will be difficult to figure out but I'll see what I can do...

I had a bug in a the scripts that updated thread and post countes and I traced that bug to one of the site function codes. So, I repleace the function code with a fresh copy and my other bug went away.
I will bet that I had coded the new post count to be part of that file that I whiped out!
I will look at the code and see if I can reprogram this at some point but I am pretty sure this is what happened and where the code was located...
