REsort Reviewing?

Hi, I just came back from a timeshare week and wanted to review the resort. So, I went to the Review forum and saw that we need to go to the resorts database, go the resort, then click on "review this resort" link on the right. Well, I didn't see any link to review a resort.

Can you help me?

Once you find the resort in the database, click on the resort name. A page with a detailed description open, there should be a box on the right (above Sponsor Links) that says "Review this Resort."

You did every thing right but on the last page that you got up to scroll down to the confirm area anf hit the GO button to start

BTW I tried to reply to you when you first posted and I thought it did but my computer froze thanks to Microsoft.

So, does that mean you are trying the new Mac OS... oops I mean Vista

If the resort is not in the resorts database, please let us know!

Still can't find it ....

OK, I really feel stupid now!!!! I don't see a confirm area (the resort is Aspen and Aspen Village in ID) nor do I see Review This Resort above the Sponsor Links!

To do reviews, the easiest is to go to the resorts database:

See on the right where it says "Search Database:"? I added "Aspen and Aspen Village" and clicked search and got one result.

Now, when you look to the right on that page you will see a link that says:

Review This Resort (Click that link!)

After you click the link you go to a page that asks you to confirm you have the right resort... If you do, CLICK "GO" and you can do your review!

Yeah, that's exactly where I was, but all I have, on the right on that page, is:

Below that is Sponsor Links and that's all ... do I not have privileges to review a resort, perhaps?

Let me look at the permissions settings... It is possible the system was set up so only "POSTING Members" (members with 15-or more posts can post reviews)

When we set this up I was woried about the spammers so it is possible that this is the issue... I'll verify

I noticed that I show 10 posts w/my name ... but it's the same way all through this thread, so I'm assuming that each of my replies does not count as a post? If it should, I should be at 15 by now!

No, they all count... see you are upto 11 now!

I looked at the code and all the code checks is that you are a member...

I need to adjust my test account to see if I can reproduce what you are seeing... YOU SHOULD SEE THAT LINK!!!

I am really not sure where the problem is but can you see if there is a link that les you add a review now?

I went into the database and added 4-post counts to your profile and then ran the user promotions script... So, in essence I forced the system to promote you to the "POSTING MEMBERS" group...

So, on the right of the following page... do you see the "REVIEW THIS RESORT" link now?

Who else CAN or CAN NOT see a link that says "REVIEW THIS RESORT"?
