  • New Posts Question

How come when I get on the BBS and click New Posts it only shows 3 or 4 new posts and not all of them? I have to go back 1 page to get all the posts. TIA

Added later It worked frank. Thanks.

Maybe that is all that is new since the last time you logged in. Sometimes if you are only gone for 20 min that could be the only posts that might have been posted in that time. If you go to Member tools click on todays posts you will see all posts in the last 24 hours.

I believe that the New Posts only show the new posts that have been created since your last visit. So if there are only 3 or 4 new posts, that all you will see. You can go to Website Navigation and click Home and you will see many more posts that have been posted, including the ones you have read.

Nope, it seems to be something more than that. Often it pulls up posts two chronologically later from the actual last one read. (Does that make sense?)

I usually go right to "new posts". This trip there were 2 pages of new posts.

OOOPS.I am combining two seperate problems. Like Kay, I occasionally find that NEW POSTS does not bring up all posts since I have last read. I think that this happens if I have been away for a day or more. Secondly, within a specific thread sometimesthe "View first unread" button is available, sometimes not and then when used, it takes me to a post or two past the last one actually read.

Thanks for the suggestions. It does not show all new posts since I was last on but I'll try Frank's method of using tools to see if that works.
