  • Welcome to our new home - Please read and report problems here!

Ok, we moved to a new server yesterday and last evening I had the internet learn where to find our new home. I ran into some unexpected yet major problems as I found a number of scripts that did not like running on the new server.

The new server upgrades us to a newer PHP and SQL version (that is what caused me a lot of issues last night and this morning) plus we will have much better bandwith, speed, and room for growth here.

I fully expect that users will find a few issues with this latest upgrade as while I spent several hours testing things it is impossible for me to look at everything on this site so I need help finding any problems. If something looks broke, please report the issues here...

    Thanks,
    Ken & Frank

p.s. Welcome to our new home!

I should add, sorry for the lack of advanced notice. The site was slow yesterday and I had already purcased the new server and had begun configuring it since last weekend. When things started acting up again I decided that last night was the time to just flip the switch and get us moved to our new home.

I try to give notice ahead of major outages like this but really in this case the server was having issues so I fealt it best to just get us moved. It took way longer then I had hoped because of the various upgrades in the server as well as the many new security features.

Sorry for the site being down this morning (about 12:00 AM EST to 7:15 AM EST today) but as near as I can tell we are back up...

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wow... I guess that is pretty major... I will need some tine to figure that out

Everyonce can use the forums navigation link in the nav-bar to the upper right to find your way around until I can fix this...

Also, I see the errors here:

          TimeshareForums Communications - Timeshare Forums

EDIT: Above issue is now fixed...

Possible glitch in the "search." When I tried entering RCI, and then SFX, the response was "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." However, it works fine when I enter Grand Mayan.

I'm not having any issues now. Thought I had the day off earlier this morning.

Thanks Ken. I like our new home.

I appreciate all you do to make this place run smoothly. I was having multiple issues this week at the old place we had.

I need to look but I think this is because the minimum length for a search term is 4-characters. This prevents the search from looking for words like the, and, etc...

                I don't think 3-char searches ever worked...

Sounds like too short a string feature.

OK, the main forums page works again but the fix of that error has me concerned that there may be more errors found... Please continue reporting problems as they are found!

                      Thanks,
