  • Supporting TS4M's

    Ken,

I am not exactly clear on how linking to google helps a site but I still go to tstips to click on the link to get to netflix anytime I want to go to netflix. Now I think they get some kind of credit for that don't they. I do it out of habit to support the site. I would love to do that to support this site.

Do you have any plans to allow such ads or links here so you will be compensated?

    Open to any ideas.

    John

I don't have an affiliate agreement with netflix at the moment but I can look into it... thanks for the suggestion and offer to help support the site!

I looked and NetFlix affiliate program is part of an affiliate program I use on some of my other websites... I will join but NetFlix only pays a commision on new members... I will get it added to the site when our site is approved.

We have been accepted by NETFLIX so they will pay us for our trafic now... We get $9 for each NetFlix membership generated through the link...

I tried to put the Netflix graphic on the right but it just messed things up... I will figure out how to add these affiliate links in a better way but for now I have added it to the bottom (footer).

Thanks again for the suggestion and I will work on getting that link in a better place as I can...

As an aside, the EBAY links (timeshare auctions on the right) are also affiliate links and we get a % of each sale... strangely enough we made three sales this month and we are getting a whopping $0.59

The RELATED links on the right are the links that are really paying the bills... these pay us for clicks. We are not making a huge amount of money from those links but as of now it is paying the hosting costs.

The click thru ads were the ones I was talking about......isn't that the google type links I was talking about in my original post? Unless its a click through for netflix I won't be much help since I am already a member. See tstips for what I was referring to.

Sorry, I am really slow I guess...

When I go to tstips on their homepage I see the same page button we have.

Now, I looked at the various links they offer and the graphic changes but the page it goes to does not seem to change... I will make an affiliate links page for people that wish to support the site that way but it may take me a while to build a page like that as I am not sure why I couldn't get the netflix one to work with the site code?

Oh Boy, this is all so complicated to me but so fascinating at the same time. I like these affiliate programs as it is a win-win situation for both concerned. I was in TStips today too and found out about Philsfan's birthday by accident because I was looking at this link below. Was it posted here already?

It offers a free ad until a certain date. All this advertising for timeshares for sale and for rent will have to make a difference for the timeshare resort developers. They cannot keep this from the public too much longer that we can buy for pennies on the dollar. JMHO. This is great for us, the consumer.

I love the Internet and it's possibilities and it will only get better!
