  • IE Locking Up

I don't know why I haven't ever posted this, cuz it's happened from the gitgo, but, if you have an older OS, like my WIN1898, if you open PMs from the pop-up window, which opens PMs into a new browser window, some time during the process, normnally when I close out the PM window, IE locks up.

If I open PMs from the Notifications or Private Messages link at the top right, which opens PMs in the same browser window, I'm OK.

No expert here but I bet you do not have enough Ram to operate the extra windows, If it is not that then it could be a script error from maybe Adobe or Java.

Not a complaint or anything I expect a fix for, since I know not to do it (but do sometimes anyway).

BTW, it is not just here, it could any time I have two browser windows open. When I close, IE locks up. Not every time, but if it does, that when it does.

I haven't used IE in ages for that very reason. From time to time updates get it working again, but some other bug comes along with more snafus. Change to Mozilla Firefox and see how a browser should work.

And will that get rid of the porn sites accidentally stored somewhere?

            PS: I'm asking for Fern.
