OK, there is a problem... I am trying to figure it out... I'll post an update when I can figure this out but it looks like I have a conflict in the code....

I'll post if I can figure it out...

Update: I have replaced the file and I even went back to the original scripts and I really do have a problem here... It looks like the issue is in the database itself.

I have removed the showlink page for now so that I can look at it without risking any more damage to the data in the database.

I have also downloaded our database backups for the past couple months just to cover my $$A in case there is a bigger problem somehow.

I am not sure if we have added more resorts and directories to this database then it was really set up to handle and if that is the case I want everybody to know that the data itself as entered is safe as I can get the data out of the database and move it to a new database...

I have been thinking this move may be necessary anyways due to the complexity of the code that drives the database that we were using.

I will post updates here but I have spent over an hour replacing files and it does not look like that will solve the problem... I will likely need to make a full website backup and move it to one of our development domains and try to resolve the issue there...

      Sorry for the inconveinience...

        Can I get some feedback...

Who can or can not see the data if you click the following link:

        http://www.timeshareforums.com/resor...details&l=3965

It is working for me as an Admin or as a Posting Member but I would like to see from more people...

Also, I am going to leave the resorts database turned off while I look at this more... I want to extract the data from the database NOW as I really don't know why we are getting these errors... I am going to extract the data and move it to a new database so that if this can not be fixed we can move to a new solution quickly... It will be easier for me to get the data out of here then setting up a development board to get it...

Yes, you could get any resort in the database using the link above with different numbers BUT PLEASE try to resist the temptation as much as possible (except to test) as I want to make sure that the data is safe...

        THANKS!

One thing I noticed is that the view counter on the resort reviews is not working in most cases. I have visited several but it still says 0 views. even reviews with replies say they have 0 views. You may want to check this.

Coronado Beach Resort and Grand Pacific Palisades in CA are examples.

I have exported the data and I am going to work on setting up a new database with just the resorts database information... I hate to do this as it will be complicated to have two seperate databases that we need to connect to but I will do that to start the process and once I get it working I can bring it back insite the main database...

I still really do need to know if people can see that page...

As for the counters... I did notice that before but I knew I would be redoing those pages so I didn't get woried about it before..

Just tried it again. Worked viewing and with the edit. BUT as soon as it said posting your changes it flipped to the error message.

I just spent an hour or so looking at the database and I can not figure this error out... I do have a good backup now so I am going to turn the resorts database back on using that page that I had linked... If anybody has problems I need to know!!!

I am starting to think that we just have exceded the limits for those scripts and it is time for me to reprogram that part of the database...

                            Quarterbore,
I just tried adding a new resort, Everthing seemed to work till after I clicked summit I got the same error message as Faust (TWICE)
Sorry, but we are having Technical Problems with the Resorts Database.

Please See This Thread for updates!
I was able to get out but when I then looked at the database the resort was posted twice. So it looks like it works but doesn't complete the summit a resort or edit the resort function correctly.

                            Hope this helps

Should we wait to post resorts until you tell us it is ok to do so?
