Ok, yesterday's post is missing, but right now if I click on the forum link to ebay, there are a bunch of auctions closing within a few hours, including a Royals Cancun with a buy it now of about $13000. The first "ending soonest" I can see on ebay directly ends in 5 hours....

Anyone else around to look now?

Look like it does not bring auctions that end within 2 Hrs from eBay.

You could not have found a better item to show the discrepancy. I am currently tracking EBAY pricing on all the Royals and somehow this particular listing is not on my watch list, nor does it show up on my search for timeshare auctions ending soonest. Apparently it is an EBAY problem as to why this particular listing eludes my off site search and the items selected for this site's listing. If I figure out the exact reason(buy it now doesn't seem to be it alone), I'll let you know.
        Edit to add:
I think it is buy it now-in that there really is no bidding on this item and that's why it is not included in the "auction" searches.

          tony,

I don't think it's the "buy it now," because I have seen a lot of other auctions here but not on ebay that weren't Buy it Nows. Check out the "Bankruptcy Sales" on the 4ms link ending within an hour.. I don't see any of them when I go through ebay directly. And I'm guessing I'm not the only one b/c there was a week yesterday that I was shocked had no bids on it (week 23, either SoCal or Southeast, too senile to remember), and it was closing within a few hours. Showed up here on ts4ms, but not on ebay. So I think it looks like until they fix the glitch (whatever it is) there are some good deals here that at least some bidders aren't seeing. Let's try to narrow this down further, though, as time allows. I'd love to know what's up.

Avery....here are the 'bankruptcy listings on TS4M's, and on Ebay, that I see ending in one hour. They appear to be the same. Are you seeing more than 4 listing here on TSFM's?

            TS4M's...

              Angela,

I waited too long and they're gone from here now, but I think those were it. I wonder if my ebay settings are missing the short term closings... Can't explore now, gotta drive son to school (too sick for school, but not for baseball practice, hmmmm) and then am off to the Manhattan Club til Friday.

Completely off-topic, can you recommend some good modern/mid century-ish furniture places in the city? I've already hit Room and Board, Design Within Reach, and a couple nice custom places in Soho...

                Avery,

Do you mean something like a Barbara Barry look? Her look is very popular at the moment. She has beautiful stuff, made by Hendredon. Another place that comes to mind is Kreiss on 57th Street. Their look is modern, but with a classic flair.

Have a great time in the city......

Most times, I go to the D&D Building, or The Design Center to purchase furniture. So, I'm not sure off hand what stores are carring what designers. I'll try and find out, and get back to you.

Her stuff is gorgeous, but I think a little too... something I don't have the word for since I'm not a designer, maybe deco? ; I figured you usually go to D & D bldg, but figured I'd ask. Don't spend any time on it, I will sort it out. Kreiss is too rich for my blood, I'm afraid, but you'll be happy to know they just signed a lease on Northern Blvd in Roslyn...

Ok, folks, sorry for the WAY off topic, back to ebay... here's another random one from here not on ebay when I look: 2 bedroom South Carolina Timeshare Deed, closing in about three hours...

Yea, I think it is something that ebay does... Those pages are a feed from ebay that we can connect to... I looked at my settings and I am showing the next "x" items that are ending... I don't remember but I think I am showing about 125 ads...

I will see what I can do but I think this is the best I can do...

                      Ken,

I don't think there's a problem with the listings from the feed to TS4ms. I think there is a problem with my separate listings that I get when logging on the ebay directly... I am not getting some of the things that show up here.

OK, I know why... I did some trick programing...

I am not searching for a name... I am pulling the items that end next out of several categories on ebay. I don't think I could even search ebay and get the same results you will see on the site...

The issue isn't your searches, I am just pulling the data from the back end and sorting differentely then you can... Perhaps some are sold as suggested...

                        Interesting...

The "buy it now" one that didn't appear wasn't an auction- just buy it now or make an offer. Several years ago several categories had to be included in the search terms in order to see everything on Ebay, and this may still be the case.
