OMG!! What is this world coming too? We just lost a police officer behind our Bojangles. He was chasing a man who had come to harass his wife (she had a restraining order) and called 911 not knowing he had a gun. One officer was wounded and one was killed. This is a scarey world we live in. shaggy

It is real simple Bring back the hanging noose
Start with Charlie Manson and Scott Peterson and work down the jail cells Make room for more of the idiots then...

Let Joe Arpaio run the corrections for the nation.

Repeat offenders should not get the chance

I have been following the online newscasts, etc about the murders of these police officers and the murder and attempted murder of 2 police officers in their squad car on Halloween.

It is hard for me to understand such cowardly actions.

Don't know what to say other than I wish I could do something to show that I support law enforcement officers everywhere. I have too many friends who are in law enforcement and I just feel so inadequate when I tell them that I am sorry, that I know how difficult their job is, that I will do whatever I can to support them.

Just read online that the suspect was shot and killed by lone patrol officer in South Seattle around 2 am today.

Best news I have read in a long time.

We'd put a mad dog down for less. Mentally ill or "other", no loss to the world. Why this thing and how this thing made bail is a tragic mystery among other terms. I hold the Court responsible as well. http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/l...ry/975661.html

            From CNN:
"Clemmons slipped away from a home in Seattle's Leschi neighborhood Sunday night before police surrounded the residence for about 12 hours. He was not found in the home when investigators moved in Monday morning, Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel said.

Officials said Tuesday they missed him by mere minutes.

Clemmons was accused of child rape and assaulting a police officer in May. He had been released on $150,000 bail five days before the shootings, according to court records.

After his arrest, Clemmons' sister told police that he "had not been himself lately" and that his behavior was "unpredictable and erratic."

"He had said that the Secret Service was coming to get him because he had written a letter to the president," an affidavit quoted her as telling investigators.

In addition, neighbors had complained that he had been throwing rocks through their windows. Clemmons' wife told deputies that she and her husband had argued over a "newly discovered child," and she suggested that was why he went on his rock-throwing spree, according to an arrest affidavit.

In 2000, then-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee commuted a 95-year prison sentence for Clemmons, according to documents from the Arkansas Department of Community Correction. He returned to prison in 2001 but was paroled in 2004."

I have a friend in the area who works for a local news station. She had been up for more than 14 hours covering the shooting and stand off. It's taken a toll on everyone in the community. My hearts and prayers go to the families who have lost their loved ones. I have read in the news that the killer had friends and family who helped him get away. They should get the same penality as the killer would have gotten had be been taken alive. It's time to bring back capital punishment. Don't give killers a chance to commit another crime. We'll then have more room in the jails for felons who are released because the prisons are overcrowded.
