  • Exhausted

Family left after dessert at 5 PM,I had put away all spoilable food, ran 1 dishwasher full and I laid down on the couch at about 5:15 and immediately fell asleep. Woke up with a start at 8:30 PM, thought I had slept all night .

Now I can go and clean up the rest of the kitchen. I hope you all had a great day. I know I did.

I'm tired too!! This is my first xmas at home in 6 yrs and I had Kelli's friend Marie & her family over , plus Billy and one of her co workers who had nowhere to go as his family isn't here. After dinner they played with the Wii. I had never made a xmas ham before but it came out great. Also made mashed potatoes, black eyes, green beans, dressing, gravy & dessert. I'm only used to cooking for 2 so it was a challenge.

Hope everyone had a great day. shaggy

Another exhausted hostess here. All worth it, though. I hope everyone who celebrated had a nice holiday.

We had 14 in the house yesterday, and the last left at 9PM. We just left the china and crystal for today---no way no how were we getting to it yesterday.

LOL, Shaggy! Things have been extra busy this year as our son is home for the week from South Korea, where he is an ESL teacher. Twice before Christmas Eve, we had 12 or 13 for dinner, when his friends came to visit. Some of these kids (mid-twenties now) have been like our own children, as they have been friends with Devin since childhood and spent loads of time at our house.

                        Tired Too

My wife's a great cook and did a great job of all the cooking on Christmas Eve and then my brother had about 30 people over his house for Christmas Day. I too am exhausted from eating all that food but hey, somebody has to be the gluten for punishment and I do it out of the goodness of my heart.

I did the least ever for a holiday. I made my first apple pie and it wasn't bad. Went to my sister's and there were only 12 of us for dinner. My DIL did most of the dishes and I finished up. I would actually rather cook for 20 than for 2!
