    Gps

I find the best thing is to use the GPS with a map backup. Most times when mine makes an error it becomes pretty obvious, and then I check the map to see where things have gone wrong.

That answers my longtime question of how you got to New Hampshire one summer.

My Tom Tom GPS has never failed us. It has always been accurate on giving us the best route.

My Tom Tom doesn't like the Smokey Mountains for some reason.

I purchased a GPS a few years ago, but rarely use it. My map-reading skills are pretty good, so I typically will compare the GPS route with the map to make sure I'm not going too far out of my way.
