  • Anyone have Sirrius Radio

Just wanted to pass this along...

I called yesterday to cancel my account.

I had received an invoice for $177 for the year.

In this economy, I can think of better things on which to spend almost $200
... after all, the radio is FREE

When I told them that I wanted to cancel, they offered me the year for $77 - YES SEVENTY SEVEN dollars plus the taxes, etc.... total $99.27 !

    I took the deal

Soooooo.... if your contract is up and you are thinking of renewing.. tell them you want to cancel! You too might save almost $100

    Heck!!

I just renewed online at the full price.
It came on Rita's car, and after a year she didn't want to give it up. I never listen to radio (or much tv for that matter).

The same thing often works for newspapers (and perhaps magazines) and it's about time I made my annual cancellation call. For five years or so, I've been renewing for a better rate.

As far as getting fees reduced, I did it with DISH and CenturyTel High Speed So They Say Internet.

As far as Sirrius, it's on our Flex rental, and it is great. We have been switiching between 60's & 70's, and there's always something good on.

We get the same thing on our DISH at home, and, except for the poor speaker quality, it's nice to have music on all our TVs.

That is good to know. I have Sirius XM and my subscription expires in March. I will definitely try that tactic. My subscription, which costs $142 /year, also includes free on-line use on my PC as well as the car radio.

There was talk last year of Sirius XM going into bankruptcy but I haven't heard anything lately.

After 3 years I had enough. I had it with the same songs played every day and the losing of the Led Zeppelin Chanel did not help, I also found that I did not get as many service interruptions on my wifes Caddy, She had XM which I liked better. It seems my new Lincoln I lose the Chanel right in the middle of a song. I even started to learn where the dead spots were in my area. The best one was by the light of the corner of the cemetery. I would have to wait for the light to change to get the radio back on. It did how ever work on FM. After I canceled I got some great promos from them. one was 3 months for about $12. Now I got another great deal this time from Sirus but I can not find the letter so I do not want to post what it was cause I am not sure. I will try to find the letter and post there offer later.

"by the light of the corner of the cemetery"

Now that's a dead spot. Hey can we write a song with that title ?

Dh got Sirrius free with his new car. When the free part ran out he opted now to renew. They kept offering him lower and lower prices. He said it wasn't worth it for exactly that reason.

When I bought my new Ford Edge, it came with the perverbial six months free. Well, I was hooked and have since purchased the lifetime package. I have not listened to terrestrial radio since. Yes, there are ads on talk radio but none on music channels. A small price to pay for uncensored radio in my opinion. I love it.
