I had the same problem with a red Monte Carlo, mice chewed through my wiring. However, it was covered under my home owner's insurance. Weird but true.

I have mechnical break down with Geico and it was not covered but it was covered under my comprehensive with a $500 deductable.,


Fairly good news, I got a call from the dealer my car is done and he gave me a discount plus it did not take as long. My Total bill should now be just under $450. I guess they estimate high so there is no shock and you will be happy if it is less.
