    Susan,
You may be stuck there. Another storm is scheduled for Tues or Wed. Philly airport is still closed down and SW air has cancelled their Monday flights. The other airlines have not committed as of yet. We are lucky. We still have electricity, but 2 feet of snow.

The mud slides you are seeing are in a very small area affecting less than 50 homes. They are in an area where they had a fire this summer located in La Canada/Flintridge in the foothills west of Pasadena.

It poured where we live yesterday but no damage at all. There is lots of new snow in the mountains around here. It is bright and sunny today but the forecast is for more storms in a couple days. This is a good thing as we need all the precipitation that we can get in the South West.

With all this rain, the wild flowers at Anza-Borrego Desert should be awesome this year.

Not a flake here or south to New Haven. Our public television is broadcasting a show next weekend about the blizzard of '78 which I lived through, discovering out first hand why people die in big snowstorms when I had to walk a mile or so through one to get home.

No snow here in upstate NY. I think that we have been sending most of ours south for a while now. I haven't even used the snow blower once this year so far but my sister in Jersey near Tom's River has had over a foot 3 times. Weird!!!

We got close to 8 inches here. My daughter who lives about 40 minutes north says she got only a dusting. We're bracing for what's being called a blizzard starting Tuesday evening and all through Wednesday. DC needs to have all the legislators meet outside. A few minutes of all that hot air will melt the snow away!

We're scheduled for 12 to 18 inches on top of the 24 inches already on the ground. But it is pretty. And we didn't lose electricity like many others.

I can't remember when we've gotten off so easy! We'll probably get it double next time.

According to what I just saw on TV, you are going to get it this time. Major storm here - 12", crippling storm there - 18". Weatherman also said that the snow isn't over for the winter. Where's the snowman smilie?

Presidents week approaches. I'm not sure what the historical is on this but as far as I remember if we are going to get a blizzard this is when we get it.

Winter storm watch in effect for all of CT starting Wednesday morning---looks like we will not be missed this time. Maybe I should dig out the snow thrower tomorrow.

Just saw updated totals of 14-20" for NE PA, Northern Jersey, NY & Long Island. Temps are higher so it will be a wet, heavy snow. Probably tomorrow it will all change and we'll just get rain!
