  • Can we go back to just having fun?

Some of you know what goes on here but most do not know that many members seem to have problems getting along with others. Not sure if it is cause old age is kicking in and many are getting grumpy. Many times I have to get in the middle of a squabble that I had nothing to do with, Most of the times it involves 2 friends and I end up losing.

I made this site to be fun first and then to help others of coarse. Can we get back to where the fun starts and please try to get alone with one another, Life is to short to be feuding on the net.

I'm in. Although to be honest I'm new to this site and don't really know many of the folks here, let alone who gets along and who doesn't. But if I don't have to worry about any of that and can instead spend my time here educating myself on the best options for my family I'm all for it.

Thanks for the site btw, even though I've only been here a short time I've already learned a bunch and look forward to learning even more.

            Thanks for the afternoon laugh!!

People who don't know each other have the time to be mean to each other--typing out their meanness-- come on it does make you giggle when you think about it huh???

I know nothing 'bout the feuds-- I swing in to pick you-alls brains and leave before the malay I guess... but I am all for a big ol love fest!!

There will always be disagreements and flare ups. Some people just rub each other the wrong way and the written word may even be a contributor. Lord knows I've had spats with several people here, but after a dozen years on internet forums, I think I now know better than to get involved in extensive wars of words. Life is too short and there are too many things to do that are better than wasting time with extended internet battles. Some times you just have to browse away and forget. It does force me to cut back on the one-liners tho.

But sometimes I enjoy a really good debate.

I guess the problem is when members take it personal. It should never be personal. It should be about exchanging and hashing out ideas. FWIW, I don't take anything anyone posts in responce to something I've posted as personal. If anyone's ever taken anything I've posted as personal, I'm sorry.

Sometimes the written word can be construed as something that would be taken differently if said in person.

                        But it's so entertaining Frank.

A lively thread makes me want to come back for more.
It's like a soap opera you just can't get enough of it.

If we get too icky sweet dripping with honey then it'll get boring.
I'm on another forum and sometimes it's just toooooo polite.

Some people are just downright mean and nasty and nothing you say is going to change that. Others have psychological problems and then there are the normal people like me!

I've always felt that meeting another member in person makes for a better relationship. Maybe more get-togethers would help.

What feuds I've clearly missed them. I can only assume this forum is carefully moderated. This is a fun and educational place for me. Heck, some of the other forums I frequent are not moderated at all. It takes a long time to get through the gutter talk, squabbles and profanity to find the gems of information there.

Frank, you have every reason to be very proud of this forum. I have no hesitation in referring others here.
