Our last night at Palm Beach Shores Resort was a fiasco. the toilet overflowed during the night, flooding the entire apartment. We left early in the morning. I was really sick and we accidentally left things behind.
A few days later my husband discovered he had left his hearing aide behind, so I called the resort. No hearing aide but they did find our beach towels. Said they would mail them to us, they had all the information. Got a call tonight from a nice guy in south Carolina. He received some beach towels in the mail and couldn't figure out why. our phone number was in the package. co he tried calling us He said he would try to forward them to us. No hearing aide though and that is the big ticket item. I guess he was in the partment sunday night, but the toilet didn't overflow!

Pat are Ron's hearing aides covered for loss...either by the company or your homeowners policy??? Ours are...even if the dog eats one I know what you mean by a high cost item!

I should look into that JoAnn, he only has one, and I think it would be under the deductible. He has lost the case it comes in, everything, so it must be misplaced somewhere.
Now i know why retirees are always busy, they spend half their time looking for lost items, glasses, keys, etc.

Sounds to me like you are having a "shaggy" . sorry about the hearing aide.
          Hugs, shaggy

Ain't it the truth! Spent all day Monday searching for DH's keys. What a draining day. Didn't find them. Tuesday, on a hunch, we went to our local IGA and asked at the desk....she disappears and comes back with a mangled key ring and the two keys look remarkably like ours....turns out they were! We figured he dropped them in the store, and the cleaning crew vacuumed or something, and the keys got sucked into the machine, crumpling the ring, but the keys managed to be only a little warped, still usable. Happy day when we got them back....poor DH was exhausted from the search and worry about the house key.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

We don't use the term "lost" in our house anymore. We say "misplaced" because the item usually turns up eventually. DH and I are equally guilty of misplacing things.
