  • Have you ever seen a ghost or had a paranormal experience?

There are quite a few programs on TV now that are "investigating" the paranormal. I watched a couple, and they are pretty hysterical...with a lot of night vision recording and silly "OMG, what was that?" shrieks. Reminds me of when kids get together to sleep in a tent in the backyard and they scare each other with silly pranks.

But, it got me wondering, have you ever had a paranormal experience (and I don't mean the experience you have when you overload on bean burritos and beer actually that might be more "normal" than "paranormal")...I mean of the kind that made you think you saw or heard a ghost.

I'm not sure if it was real or a trick, but for some reason the TS saleman's reflection did not show up in the mirror..........coincidence, I think not.......

My house is haunted, but I have yet to see a ghost. Main things are noises and things moving on their own.
It all started when I took that Pennsylvania Dutch hex sign down.

I have a neighbor who owns a house in a development that was built on a sacred site. She decorated her home with many authentic Native American art, rugs, drums, etc. She has heard the drum bang, a chair get overturned, glasses rattle and shake, one broken and many other things. She had a person who came to help, and she was told that her home was on a burial ground and that they were not happy with the development....she removed the drum and the incidents stopped. She brought the drum back and the incidents started again.

If you want to see ghosts come to Miami. We've got a ton of them everywhere. Lots of people into voodoo and paranormal activity here.

Me, I haven't seen one but have seen their actions. Slamming doors, moving stuff. We had one trying to open the french doors in our old house at midday and I could see that no one was physically there so was it a ghost?,
              I personally think so.

After that experience, I sold the house. But that house had a few spirits hanging around in it that would make the dog crazy barking at what appeared to be the air. I am confinced she was definetely seeing something as she would stop just short of it and go crazy. I think animals are more sensitive to these things than us humans.

I had a dream about my grandparents about 6 months after my grandmother died (my grandfather went before her). I knew it was a dream, but I awoke and I swear my little Grandma's frail little bony hand was IN mine. And I know that part was NOT a dream.

I always made fun of the ghost ideas but years ago my family did see a women in a wedding dress go from my sister and her husbands room and stop above my mother's bed scaring her half to death!

We lived in a small town just below Pikes Peak named Manitou Springs Colorado from 1957 to 1965. Beautiful little town with creek running through it from the mountains and about ten miles from Colorado Springs.

My father took over as manager for all the touring business for Broodmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Because the manager was retiring and moving we moved into the Manitou Springs garage which had a large apartment above the garage. In this garage they had tour buses and old limo's from the 20's 30's and 40's and 50's parked in the rear area of this garage with the leather and canvas roll tops like the old tuna cans you would roll back..

The wife told us how much she hated leaving as they had been there for years and love the town and then went on to tell us about this ghost. She said the family before them back in the early 40's moved because of this ghost. She said they had seen her a few times in the middle of the night and shook them up for a while. Some book company back then did some stories on this apartment/garage area and the ghost.

We laughed it off and moved in and at night this garage the size of a football field was scary enough with strange sounds so we stayed out of there a night.

We lived there about a year and we heard my sister scream as she woke and saw this women standing at the foot of their bed. Her husband jumped up and just froze when he saw the women in the wedding dress. She just walked through the wall and couple seconds later my mother started screaming because this women was just floating above my parents bed staring at them then just floating away.

This happen couple more times over the next three years and finally my mother couldn't take it and we moved to California.

Sounds like bull to a non-believer like me but just to many others seeing it for it not to be true!

Yikes!!!! You guys waited 3 years? I'd have been gone in more like 3 days, if not minutes.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

My youngest daughter and I both seem to be very sensitive to paranormal activity. We have both seen the ghost of our first dog around the house. When we were walking the battlefields of Gettysburg, we both felt the most unusual vibes. We didn't see any ghosts, but definitely felt their presence. It wasn't scary. Actually, more of an overwhelming sense of bravery, sadness and pain.
