  • Tennessee Flooding

Tennessee is being hit hard with floods, etc. We have had some water damage at our house with so much rain. I hear different reports, but it is somewhere between 10-15+ inches over the past 1 1/2 days. Many homes and business flooded in the Nashville Metro Area. And it is still raining!

I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how you were doing. Did you have tornadoes as well? That rain is something else!! Stay safe & dry. shaggy

I feel for you. We had 2 large storm systems here in March, one dropped about 10 inches in a day or 2. We just had a little riverlet in out basement, but some areas were hit really hard. Looked like the pictures we're seeing from TN.

      Wishing you the best!!

SIL is DOOGOO (Dir. of Operations/Grand Ole Opry).

They did not tell her not to come in. She got there and everything was flooded and events cancelled.

Not sure how she got out.

Allegedly most of the Wyndham employees left without alerting the 500 guests at the resort. The Gaylord was evacuated on Sunday night before the water reached it.

OMG, I am just sick over this. Does anyone know if Cheri ( teachingmyown) is ok? My heart goes out to everyone in my favorite town on Nashville. I could not believe the pic of the GOO. So much of the history of country music is lost. shaggy

Went over to tug. Cheri is fine and she has posted lots of news.

                  Nashville closed until June 27th.

Just got off the Nashville Wyndham site and Nashville is closed until June 27th. Had reservations there for June 18th and changed to Fairfield Bay.

At least one Wyndham manager stayed to arrange bus transportation forguests to a Marriott. There is video of the rescue on YouTube.

we returned from our week in Nashville last Sunday, had a great time. We drove through the morning of the flood, May 1. Here is the irony, we went to my daughter's in Minnesota. They had about ten inches of rain. flooding all over south of them and we had to pass through the area on the way home. water really high on the roadside ditches and part of Hwy 52 was closed northbound.
