Actually, the initial number does not need to be between 1 and 8. You're just so influential that it works with any number.

Actually, even with Pi, the number works out to nine, as long as you include all the decimals when adding the numbers together.

That is incorrect for 2 reasons.

First, Frank said to add 2 digits. The only two digits that make sense to add are the two most significant digits.

Second, it is NOT possible to add all the digits because Pi is an infinite, not repeating series of digits. So, there is no sum to be made.

Therefore, if you choose Pi, Winston Churchill is the hero.
