I'm watching for that $22 Philips DVD player, if anybody sees it! We seem to go through them like chewing gum around here.
You too? Mine is ready to die, had to switch to the computer to watch the movie last night. I need a recorder so in case Big Frank does something again, I can transfer it to DVD.
Darned it anyway. They had a bag of crap displayed as the woot lights. I got the text message and wondered why they would do that. I totally forgot to check to see what was going on, and the BAC that was part of the deal (if the 1 in 10 chance hit right on the DOW) and I did not get in on the deal.
Woot is a 'one item per day' sale site. Most of the time it is a refurbished item, or a close out item. Today, being Tuesday, they have a ‘two fer’ in this case, two packs of WD-40 pens. Once in a while there is something that adds to my life, but most often not. But the fun thing is their description of the item. Those guys did not get good grades in English class when it came time to write a serious book report.
But…every once in a while, they throw everything into one or two days and have a woot off. They sell one item until it sells out, then put in something else. This continues all day long with some good items, some weird items, and once in a while-something I need. But, to make it more exciting, the throw in a ‘random bag of crap’. You don’t know what you are getting, and the BOC is gone in just a few minutes, maybe less. Everyone tries to get it. It is the gold metal of the woot Olympics.
That is the short version of Woot.com, the Woot off and the Bag of Crap.
