It was from a thread that discussed how a family of 6 paid for two early boarding passes. The two people got on the plane first, saved the first 2 rows and then the rest of the party showed up at the end of B seating.
Alot of speculation.....assigned seats, no EB, etc.

On many airlines, the first rows of coach are called premium seats, and can only be reserved free by elite frequent flyers. Any other passenger pays extra for the ''premium seat''. The elites have early boarding anyway. On other airlines, the person paying for the premium seat, though, does not get early boarding. That seems to be the only thing different at AA.

Charge you more if you want to use the bathroom or need a barf bag?

You'll have to unbuckle, though.
