After gettng home from vacation yesterday went to bring up desktop PC and it crashed. Had video driver problem which I at first thought would be easy to fix but unit keeps crashing with blue screen of death whenever I boot, can only get in to windows thru secure mode. I worked on it myself for a while then called Dell support and worked with one of their techs for about 2 1/2 hours but no go. Final determination was that I will have to re-install windows. I opted to not do that last nite as I have a lot of backing up to do first (I have not been very good of late with my data backup, and I have a lot of photo files as well as other stuff that I need to make sure I have secured) Spending some time today and tomorrow backing stuff up to DVD;s and then will do the Windows re-install in a couple of days.
Luckly I have a laptop to still use or I would be having the withdrawals/.
Will probably not be posting to much for the next couple of days as I have to
work on this.
Haven't done many searches in a couple of weeks now so will have to fit some of them in just so I don't forget the process (LOL)
