Ever had your home assessed?

Sounds strange to me because when they lowered our taxes last year it was done by the whole housing area. They had the new lower value of all the homes and based the reduction on that and not each home.

Our taxes dropped about $1200 for the year and no one needed to come out and check our home as they already have all the information they would ever need already.

Talked to the neighbor that had been inspected. They basically checked the basement to see if it had been updated or completed since their last visit. Mine has not, so it should not be a problem.

Why not call the Assessor's office, anonymously, and ask them?
