Yesterday I called Continental (one hour hold time...could not change online) to change our flight which was due to arrive in Newark, NJ tonight (from Orlando) but will likely be cancelled because of the storm. I got a nice man who spent a half hour on the phone with me checking various flights and said that he booked me for Tuesday morning.
Today I went online to check the itinerary and discovered that he had made a mistake (I had checked yesterday but was focused on the new time rather than the day and didn't notice his mistake), and that we are now on a flight leaving Orlando tomorrow morning! After another very long hold, I was told that they were sorry for the mistake, but there is nothing they can do and that all flights are booked through Wednesday.
I guess we have no choice but to go to the airport tomorrow and wait it out, but I am nervous about being stuck in the airport all day tomorrow. Anyone think the storm will pass by tomorrow afternoon, enough so that a flight due to arrive in the early afternoon will be allowed to fly?
Thanks for any input! This whole thing has been very stressful, although made easier by a wonderful Forums member who was able to find us a place to stay for tonight and tomorrow night.
