  • Anyone at Disney this coming week? Really need your help.

    Hi all,

My 12 year old bought gifts for her four best friends with her own money...they were those leather bracelets (engraved with friends' names) with a Disney charm on each. Total cost was about $60. She was supposed to give them out tonight and has lost the bag that they were in. (We had a lot of hotel/car changes at the end of our trip because we were stuck in Florida due to the storm and drove home.)

She is devastated. I'm willing to replace them for her since she saved up so long and due to the circumstances. They aren't replaceable up here of course, but if someone who is at Disney this week is willing to help me replace them all by going to one of the kiosks where they make them (we got hers at Animal Kingdom), I will reimburse you and also pay you for your trouble. Please let me know if you can help.

    Thank you so much!

Have you called the resort to see if someone turned the bag into lost and found?

One year my niece lost her backpack in Animal Kingdom and they mailed it back to us. They found it in one of the bathrooms.

Disney is really good with this if someone turns it in.

    Worth a shot.

If not I'll be there Feb. 17-20th.
    Have you checked ebay?
Alot of Disney stuff is on ebay. You might get lucky.

        Thank you for the responses.

Chris, I don't think they were left at Disney (and they haven't seen them). More likely they were lost at one of the three subsequent hotels we stayed in as we made our way home. They were in a plain white paper bag so they looked very nondescript and could have been mistaken for trash. Ebay wouldn't work because each bracelet had a child's name on it with a Disney charm my daughter picked out to "match" that kid. They were very personal which is part of the reason she was so upset.

If you remember where you bought them---even better, have the receipt---you can call WDW and they will sell/ship you new ones.

It wouldn't hurt to call the lost and found dep'ts of the hotels you stayed in on your way home. You never know if some honest person turned them in. Since they are personalized, I think your chances might be good. Good luck. Hope you get them back. I'm sure your daughter is brokenhearted.

bnoble, thanks for the phone number. They are closed today but I will call tomorrow. I wonder if they will let you order something personalized like that; I'll let you know. Unfortunately the receipt was in the bag, and the bag was made of plain white paper (which is different than most bags you get at Disney...not sure if it was because we got them in Animal Kingdom where plastic isn't used). So I guess the bag would have been easy to mistake for garbage.

Kay, I called the lost and found departments of all four hotels were were in with no luck. I wish it were different.
