  • Another prayer request

My 1st cousin goes in for surgery on the 11th, for a mass on/in her kidney.
If all goes well, she will be in the hospital 4 days.

Robert, one of my best friends had a tumor taken off her kidney today along with part of her kidney. They also took out 1 rib to make it easier to get to the kidney. They got all of the malignent tumor. Thank God!! I hope your cousin is just as lucky. She will be in the hospital 4 days also. shaggy

      From Aunt on Karen's surgery

Home from hosp. Jan. 15th. She is doing as well as can be expected with pain med. We are helping as much as we can.

I'm a morning person and they are not. I fix some meals for evening. The neighbors are great to fix food also. Great extended family. She has had prayers going for her from all over the world.

She will see the Dr. Friday and get the results of the biopsy. He said the surgery went fine and he removed the mass (on left lower side of L. kidney and in it.) and drained some cysts. Also said the mass looked odd.
She will be off work 3 - 6 weeks. Not to lift or bend. She goes for short walks. Helps to just get out of the house.

Glad to hear the surgery went well. I am hoping she gets good results from the biopsy.

              Please keep those prayers coming!

Tami, my sister’s daughter, is having heart palpation. Dr will shock treat, but she has to lose 30# first.

Kelly (my 1st cousin’s daughter) ~ has a cancerous mass encompassing a vertebrae in her upper back that will be removed. Kelly will go into a Tampa, Fla. hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 25th for Pre-Opt. Back surgery on Wednesday. She will be in the hospital for 10 days, than go back home.

Joel (another 1st cousin’s son) has been in and out of the hospital (Jan. 12 & 13) with recurring Vertigo. He's had a couple bad bouts with this within about a month and is now taking medication for it.

              God bless you all,

              Robert

GOOD NEWS-----Karen got a great report from the kidney surgeon! The mass they removed was not cancer--- it was dead tissue. So very glad they caught it when they did so not to continue to have more of it die. We are so happpy and praising God. She is doing well. Will be off work afew weeks yet but out for walks. No bending or lifting nore than 15 lbs. Thank you for all the prayers. I/we have felt them.
