  • RIP Sir Oliver Humperdink

One of the nicest men I have ever met John Sutton, aka Sir Oliver Humperdink died at the age of 62 from bladder cancer. I don't expect many of you to know who he is but he was a wrestling manor of many top teams. He had shocking red hair & beard and eyes that would bug out and played the bad guy. In real life he was one of the nicest, kindest men I've ever met. He had been in bad health for many years but he would always sit at the bar and talk to any fan who wanted an autograph, picture, etc. He was one of the smartest men when it came to old rock n roll trivia and we had made a date to test each other in Atlanta ( Legend Reunion)

RIP , my dear friend. shaggy

So sorry for your loss, Shaggy. Your friend sounds like he was a wonderful person. May he rest in peace.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I go way back with him. He was well known in the Florida wrestling circuit and had a cold beer with him years ago. Thank you for posting. I didn't realize how young he was as I first met him years ago when I was 16 in miami beach over 30yrs ago

Thanks for reminding me that I am getting older.

I was a big fan of wrestling back when I was a kid. Although not as prevelent during my period as such greats as Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant and the British Bulldog he was still a great athlete.

He will surely be missed by those in the community.
