    Avery,

Congrats on your new grill....the one you choose has a nice look to it. I'm sure it will BBQ great too....

I got my fireplace front from one of the places Frank recommended...Taylor's Hearth & Leisure. They are very pleasant to deal with, very professional. I believe they are a family owned and operated business.

Okay, after several days of running here and there, online research, considering everyone's ideas here, we ended up buying This Napoleon Grill

The grill was delivered on Friday, and we have cooked twice on it...and I must say, it is absolutely fantastic.

We went round and round on the cost factor...but the thing that won was the package offered by our Grill specialty store, a 20% off rate that included a rotisserie, stainless stell grills, delivery, "coaching" and local service help and warranty.

The pork chops we cooked on this grill were probably the best we have ever had on a grill. Last night we treated ourselves to a filet mignon, and it was perfectly cooked.

The side burner on the grill makes it a delight as now I can cook all at one station, avoiding the usual running back and forth to the kitchen to cook the side dishes.

It has an infrared back burner which makes the cooking fast, juicy, and consistently heated.

We are looking forward to a summer and many years of great grilling with this one.

This week I am going to try the rotisserie...and that should be a few laughs as I have never used one before.

Oh, the cost factor was significant to us, after the taxes it cost us $697....that was staggering before we used it...now I feel it was a great investment.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

I was meaning to post this but forgot. BJ's has a nice SS 5 burner with side burner, Rotisserie and back radiant heat for $599. I forgot to take a look at the burners to see if they were brass or not. If they are this is a great deal.

Ok, we finally had a chance to use the new 6 burner JennAir (aka NexGrill) tonight. Lowe's price was $899, it arrived with a convenient dent (completely tolerable on the side) that knocked 20% off the price. I really wanted a big Weber, but at twice the price, I just couldn't do it (that's a lot of EVs...). Dinner was delicious. We did steaks, burgers, dogs and asparagus, they all came out great. I need to learn to take advantage of all the burners so I'm not cooking thick steaks and thin burgers on the same burner (old habits die hard). The ignitor works like a dream (after you realize the battery is in backwards and then fix it). Sadly, it is not self-cleaning. I love having the four main burners, they are brass and guaranteed for life. The smaller model is $699, a dent on that would bring it down to $559, and it has a generous 700 square in cooking surface. Lowe's has dented ones for sale in the stores also.

Btw, MANY grills except for Weber and the super high end ones like Lynx and DCS are made by NexGrill; each company has its own proprietary specs regarding stainless content, brass v. stainless burners, BTUs, etc.. and then NexGrill manufactures it and puts the company's nameplate on it. The warranties are through NexGrill. Fortunoff's higher end house brand models are all NexGrill, as are Kenmore and many others.

            Avery,

Glad to hear that you christened your new grill, and that dinner turned out great. Now your set for the summer. Twenty percent off for a side dent sounds like a deal to me, enjoy......
