Big storm hit about 6:30 and now we have no power. 44000 without power. Playing wit the cell phone for entertainment.

how big an area has no power?

Not sure how large of an area was affected. I am second ring north Minneapolis suburb. We were without power from about 6:25 until nearly 10pm.

We watched Get Smart on my laptop with my Coleman lantern as back light. Went to bed very early. Just like camping on the 4th of July weekend.

Times like this is when it is great to have camping equipment but not great for food in the fridge. Hope you get back your power soon if not do not open the frige for anything. It can stay cold without openening for 48-60 hours. If you open it you will not make 48 hours,

t is so hard not to open your fridge. Many years ago our refrig died when we were away. my daughter emptied it out and almost died from the smell. when we got back, we had to buy a new fridge and then wait for the delivery. we must have opened that door every ten minutes. then the delivery man came and he opened the door. he ended up wrapping duck tape around it so it couldn't be opened as he carted it away. I will never forget that smell.
